The Printing
All of Olga’s custom prints are produced by Laumont in New York City. Laumont is premiere New York based printer of archival pigment prints. They work with the leading galleries in America and many recognized artists. Laumont printing professionals earn the title of Master Printer by providing unrivaled depths of printing experience. They incorporate the most recent digital printing technology to provide the best possible output for each custom print using traditional printing practices.
Image capture is the first and most crucial step in the digital imaging process. We collaborate with Lamont's highly skilled staff to reproduce original drawings to ensure that details are captured in a full density range, including the highlights and dark shadows. We are all about matching original artwork. Therefore, all custom-made prints undergo the 'test prints.'
Printing method
Museum-Grade, Archival pigment printing (a.k.a. inkjet or giclée printing) To print a giclee print inkjet printer squirts special pigments (not dyes) onto archival quality paper. Giclee prints demonstrate longevity with fade-resistant colors because of the pigments and quality print medium. Each reproduction is as accurate to the original as possible.
Printing paper
Angelica (Bright White Smooth- 315gm) by Parrot watercolor papers are single side coated, traditional fineart media for fine-art printmaking and digital photo applications. The matte papers are acid-free, archival, resists yellowing and enhance image resolution and detail, especially in highlight and shadow areas.
Framing and installation are available upon request in the NYC area.
